Goldberg provides an update on his knee after stating that he needed surgery.

Next Thursday, WWE will be hosting their Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia and on that show, Bobby Lashley and Goldberg will meet in a No Holds Barred match. This bout is the follow-up to their WWE Title match at SummerSlam.

Coming out of SummerSlam, WWE released a video on their digital channels and Goldberg stated that there was a “pending knee surgery” he was set to undergo. Goldberg made his in-person return to Raw on 10/4 to confront Lashley. On the latest CarCast podcast, Goldberg provided an update and said his knee is doing much better but he won’t be completely healed by Crown Jewel.

Knee’s much better. Hopefully it’ll be — I won’t be completely healed by then [Crown Jewel] but it’ll be, suffice to say, in good enough shape to kick Bobby [Lashley’s] ass. Let’s just say that.

Prior to SummerSlam, Goldberg said he had two more matches left on his existing WWE contract.
