WWE SmackDown notes: Zelina Vega advances in Queen’s Crown, Banks/Lynch, Naomi

Zelina Vega is moving on in the Queen's Crown, Naomi gets double teamed by Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler, Banks versus Lynch

The first WWE Queen’s Crown tournament is coming to a close and the first finalist is set. Zelina Vega bested Carmella on SmackDown and she will meet either Shayna Baszler or Doudrop in the tourney finals.

Sasha Banks versus SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was the final match on tonight’s show. Bianca Belair was ringside and she used her hair to whip Lynch’s hand and that distracted Lynch. Banks was able to capitalize and she pinned Lynch. All three talents will be competing at the Crown Jewel event in a Triple-Threat match for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Lynch and Belair were drafted to the Raw brand as a part of the 2021 WWE Draft.

During the contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Brock signed his contract without looking which caused Reigns to mock him for signing something without reading it over. Lesnar said he read the contract earlier today with Paul Heyman.

Sonya Deville was scheduled to go one-on-one with Naomi on SmackDown. Deville ended up bringing out Shayna Baszler to join her for a Handicap match. Deville pinned Naomi after Baszler choked her out.

The SmackDown Tag Team Titles were on the line in a Street Fight. The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso) successfully retained over The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins).

Drew McIntyre is going to be appearing on the 10/22 SmackDown. McIntyre is challenging Big E for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel.
