NJPW Strong revealed on Saturday night that Buddy Matthews (the former Buddy Murphy in WWE) will be coming to San Jose, California next month.
The former WWE star was revealed during a video package that announced he would appear at ‘Battle in the Valley’ at the San Jose Civic Center on Saturday, November 13th.
Matthews was released by WWE this past June amidst the mass cuts by the promotion over the course of 2021.
During his eight years with the company, he held the NXT tag team championship as well as WWE Cruiserweight Championship and was one-half of the Raw tag team champions with Seth Rollins in 2020.
The 33-year old has wrestled matches with Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling and Battleground Championship Wrestling since leaving WWE.
No matches have been announced yet for the ‘Battle in the Valley’ card.
