Kota Ibushi made history today by winning the A Block and will face the winner of Kazuchika Okada and Jeff Cobb on Wednesday’s B Block final.
In terms of the listener contest, today’s results were filled with upsets which resulted in nobody picking 5-for-5. In fact, only 28 people scored 3 or more points today. Despite all the chaos, Zack Smith has still held on to a 3-point lead. Despite this dominance, there is still a theoretical chance he could lose the overall contest. Could there be a Tanga Loa out there looking to upset Zack?
The drama in the C Block is at its peak. Kate, like many, had her day 17 results highly disrupted by upsets and the Shingo/Yujiro draw. Brad was able to eke out 3 points and make up 1 point on Kate to bring him within three. Much like the overall contest, based on Brad & Kate’s respective picks, there is still a chance that if Brad picks all the winners that Kate did not on day 18 that they could both end the contest with the same point total, in which case the C Block will have to go to tie-breakers to determine a winner.
