WWE Raw falls under 0.4 in 18-49 demo against NFL & ALCS

WWE Raw delivered its lowest 18-49 figure among the data that exists covering the program’s history as it fell below 0.4.

The October 18th episode from Sacramento averaged 1,593,000 viewers and approximately 510,000 (0.39) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Of the data that exists covering Raw’s history of 18-49 figures, this would represent the lowest number after dropping 6 percent from last week.

Raw finished seventh among first-run programming on cable and was hampered by the Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans that topped cable with 12,528,000 viewers and 4.06 in 18-49 along with the ALCS game between the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros that averaged 3,540,000 and 0.79 on FS1.

Compared with last week, Raw fell 29 percent among Females 12-34 and 15 percent with Adults 18-34. Males 12-34 were one group that increased with a 20 percent jump from last week.

Despite the low 18-49 audience, WWE Raw did not see a lot of change throughout the three hours. The opening hour averaged 1,577,000 and 0.38 in 18-49 and grew to 1,624,000 and 0.40 in hour two and the final hour averaged 1,577,000 (identical to hour one) and 0.40 in 18-49.

Throughout the show, Females 18-49 grew by 10 percent while Males 12-34 dropped by 11.5 percent as the only double-digit movement among the key demos from the first to the third hour.

Compared to one year ago, Raw on Oct. 19, 2020, inside the ThunderDome was advertised as its “season premiere” and averaged 1,777,000 and 0.52 in 18-49 against Monday Night Football, which averaged 11,317,000.

In Canada, Raw averaged 142,400 viewers on Sportsnet 360, which was down 15 percent from last week. In the 25-54 demographic, the show averaged 51,700. Sports programming in Canada was led by the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. New York Rangers game followed by Monday Night Football.
