Hideo Takayama (BADBOY Hido) passes away at age 51

At the age of 51, the former ‘BADBOY Hido’ has passed away.

Pro Wrestling ZERO1 announced the passing of Hideo Takayama, who was known in wrestling as ‘Hido’ and ‘BADBOY Hido’. He passed away on October 17th at the age of 51.

ZERO1 GM Megumi Kudo issued a statement through ZERO1’s website about Takayama’s passing. They met while they were both working for FMW and got married in the late 90s. She noted that she will continue to devote herself to making sure that the sport her husband loved continues to grow.

On the 30th of this month, Megumi will be present at ZERO1’s show and a ceremony to celebrate the life of Hideo is going to be held.

He made his pro wrestling in-ring debut for the W*ING promotion in 1993. He was a part of FMW from the mid-90s to the year 2000.

Takayama’s last sanctioned match was in 2013 at ZERO1’s ‘Big Bang’ show where he teamed with Hideki Hosaka and Kintaro Kanemura to take on Atsushi Onita, Ricky Fuji and Tetsuhiro Kuroda.
