Immediately following their segment on SmackDown, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are reported to have had a heated exchange.

In a report from Mike Johnson of PWinsider.com, the site reports that Flair had voiced her concerns earlier in the day about the Championship Exchange segment and not wanting her or the title reign to look weak.

During the in-ring segment, Flair went to hand the title to Lynch but pulled it away. As Lynch tried to grab it from Flair, the belt landed on the mat.

Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT added a few details including Flair attempting a “cat and mouse game” with the belt and a timing error leading to the belt falling.

Sonya Deville told Flair to pick it up, which she did and handed it to Deville. Lynch responded by throwing her title at Flair rather than handing it to Deville and that title also landed on the mat with Flair picking it up as well.

The rest of the segment saw Sasha Banks interrupting the two and Lynch making her exit before the physicality between Banks and Flair to end the show.

On WWE’s YouTube channel, the segment doesn’t include the title swap or the belts falling on the mat and begins with Banks’ interruption.

The report adds that the two had heated words backstage over the way the segment played out.

The site noted that while the confrontation was heated, it never got physical between Flair and Lynch.
