In one of the featured matches at Bound for Glory, Mickie James became the new Knockouts Champion.

James defeated Deonna Purrazzo to become a four-time Knockouts Champion after landing a high spin kick and following with a tornado DDT off the middle rope for the pin.

It ends Purrazzo’s eleven-month title reign, which began on November 14, 2020, when she defeated Su Yung at the Turning Point card.

James last held the Knockouts Championship in May 2013 where she won the title from Velvet Sky and had two previous reigns in 2011.

James was part of several WWE cuts this past April including The IInspiration, who made their IMPACT debut at Bound for Glory and became the Knockouts Tag Team Champions.
