WWE has released its pay-per-view scheduled for 2022 that includes a two-night WrestleMania among several stadium cards, as well as a pay-per-view over Labor Day weekend.
The schedule is not complete as they noted that events for February and October will be added at a later date. Those two events could be the shows in Saudi Arabia, which are not listed either.
Here is the schedule that was released on Monday:
Saturday, January 1 – Day 1 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia
Saturday, January 29 – Royal Rumble at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri
Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 – WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
Sunday, May 8 – Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island
Sunday, June 5 – Allstate Arena in Chicago
Saturday, July 2 – Money in the Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas
Saturday, July 30 – SummerSlam at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee
Saturday, September 3 OR Sunday, September 4 – Pay-Per-View at a Location TBA
Saturday, November 26 – Survivor Series at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts
Clearly, there is an emphasis on Saturday night as a better night with only three Sunday night events listed and all for the spring months including night two of WrestleMania.
The Labor Day weekend show stands out in a big way given that has become AEW’s traditional weekend for All Out and could create a scenario where both promotions run pay-per-views that weekend.
They are also moving SummerSlam up several weeks and will take place in July for the first time and run on a Saturday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
