Kenny Omega is off the TripleMania Regia card set for next month in Monterrey, according to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that AAA was informed earlier this week that Omega would be unable to wrestle El Hijo del Vikingo on the December 4th card as he is taking time off to address several injuries.

In the Observer report, it was stated that Omega is scheduled to have his shoulder, knee, and abdominal issues are taken care of with surgery and potentially one for a septum issue. The report states that the expectation is for Omega to be able to return in or around late February, although Tony Khan has told Omega to take his time.

Omega has kept a frenetic pace over the past year after winning the AEW Championship from Jon Moxley last December and carrying the AAA Mega Heavyweight and IMPACT Championships as well.

Omega was part of the Explosive Barbed-Wired Deathmatch Moxley that led to AEW’s Revolution pay-per-view drawing approximately 135,000 buys according to Wrestlenomics, which was the company’s record prior to All Out.

Over the past year, he has had title defenses of the various championships against Laredo Kid, Rey Fenix, Rich Swann, Moose, Jungle Boy, Sami Callihan, Christian Cage, Andrade El Idolo, and Hangman Page this past week at Full Gear.
