King Woods would be content with his WWE journey if it ended today.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Xavier Woods accomplished his goal of becoming King of the Ring. Over the past several weeks on SmackDown, King Woods has been targeted by The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy & Jey Uso) because of Reigns’ forthcoming match against Big E at Survivor Series.
On the 11/19 SmackDown, Reigns and The Usos ripped up Woods’ crown along with the remainder of his king-esque attire and props. At the Survivor Series media junket, Woods spoke with Sid Pullar III of Sportskeeda and said with his wrestling goals, he’s on bonus time. He added that if WWE were to cut him after winning King of the Ring, he would be content with what he’s done in the company.
I feel they are all kind of connected because I feel like I’m essentially trying to do the same thing everywhere. I’m just trying to be the best version of myself in that space, I guess, is the best way to put it. So, as far as wrestling with New Day, we’ve been able to accomplish so many things as a tag team, and that’s been my focus as a kid. I love tag team wrestling, and I love King of the Ring. So, as far as wrestling goals, now I’m on bonus time. If they would have been like, ‘Hey, you won King of the Ring,’ and they came back and hit me with the, ‘You’re fired,’ I would have been like, ‘Okay, deuces, it has been a fun ride.’
