Bryan Danielson vs. Alan “5” Angels

“Hangman” Adam Page starts the show on commentary as the hometown crowd here are fully behind Angels, chanting his name as Page mentions this is the building where he graduated high school. Danielson goes right for the submission, but Angels grabs the ropes as Danielson taunts the crowd putting his ear to them. Angels dodges Danielson in the corner, and delivers chops and punches of his own, holding before the fifth punch. Danielson comes back with kicks and chops himself in the corner followed by a running dropkick. Danielson stays in control as the crowd continues to boo him before Angels reverses for a quick backslide for a two count. Danielson comes back with a butterfly suplex into an armbar, but Angels escapes to the apron. Danielson goes outside, where Angels meets him with a dive followed by a moonsault off the top to the outside. Angels throws Danielson back inside and hits a standing Spanish Fly for two. Angels goes for another moonsault but misses it and runs into a knee by Danielson. Danielson chooses not to pin him, instead stares at Page at commentary and starts kicking in the head of Angels. Danielson flexes and applies a knee bar as Angels automatically submits.

Winner: Bryan Danielson by submission at 6:14

Can’t Touch This

Danielson keeps the knee bar on after the match, until finally letting go and flexing into the camera. Tony Schiavone joins him in the ring and says in two weeks Danielson will get the AEW World Title shot at Winter is Coming. Danielson grabs the mic and says if that’s the best Atlanta has got, he whooped his ass. And not only did he kick his head in, but he snapped his MCL in and says nobody here knows what that is. Last week he knocked Colt Cabana’s tooth and next week he will stomp a Dark Order member from Long Island’s head in. And in two weeks he will take Page’s AEW World Championship and that is where he will show the entire world that Page is a one-hit wonder and show the entire world it’s not Cowboy Shit, but Coward Shit. This prompts Page to leave the commentary table and start heading down. John Silver stops him and says we all know Page can’t touch Bryan tonight, but he can and that’s what he’ll do. Silver runs to the ring, but Danielson bails out and says he won’t share the ring with that joke as he’s beneath him. Just like Page is beneath him and Tony Khan said they can’t touch, and Page will be suspended if he does as they go face to face. Danielson said he would love to, but these jerks here don’t deserve to see it.

The Word of the Redeemer

We see a Miro segment where he’s standing in front of a white background and says he was unsure what to do until his God revealed what an asshole he’s been to him. The line has been drawn and the redeemer will storm the gates of heaven and the floor will turn red. God pushed him out when he was looking for love but now, he’ll bring fear. He will now embrace, and this is the word of the redeemer.

Lee Moriarty vs. CM Punk

MJF takes Hangman’s spot on commentary and right away talks about how bad Punk looks and calls him Cooking Meth Punk and says he’s struggling against a rookie before Excalibur corrects him and says Moriarty has had more matches than MJF. MJF says next week there will be a 12-man Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal, with the finals happening at Winter is Coming and the winner will have to face MJF. Moriarty keeps Punk down with arm drags and MJF is questioning Punk’s ability. Punk comes back with shoulder tackles to Moriarty in the corner before taking Moriarty down with a leg lariat. Punk hits a diving lariat as they go to commercial.

When we come back, Moriarty dodges Punk in the corner before knocking him out to the apron and taking him down with a clothesline, boot followed with a belly-to-belly for a two count. Punk comes back with a crossbody off the top, but Moriarty turns it into a pin attempt and a crossface. Punk hits a hurricanrana off the top, that turns into multiple pin attempts from both ending with Punk hitting a roundhouse kick. Moriarty hits a lariat and a running boot, gets a two count, and then goes for a suplex, but Punk turns it into the GTS for the pin.

Winner: CM Punk by pinfall at 10:23

One Pump Chump & Larry David’s Pajamas

MJF gets right on the mic, tells them to cut Punk’s music and calls him PG Punk again and says he’s proud of Punk although he’s struggling to beat the likes of QT Marshall and Lee Moriarty. And the only thing he’s the best in the world today is trying to get into the pants of Britt Baker. Says Punk is looking unamused just like Baker would be when she sees him in the bedroom and calls him One Pump Chump. Punk gets on the mic and says MJF is wearing Larry David’s pajamas and although he struggled, QT and Lee are both better than MJF and he knows it. He says they will both shut up now, MJF can bring his needle dick in the ring now and he’ll kick his ass all the way to Long Island. MJF says they won’t see it and he is a spark to the flame CM Punk hasn’t had since 2011 and he needs him more than he needs Punk. Next week he will win the Diamond Dozen Battle Royale in the most magical place in the world, New York. And he will be better than Piper in Portland, Bret in Canada, and CM Punk in Chicago. He is going to be amongst people chanting his name off the top of his lungs and speaking of loud noises, he can hear Punk’s dog Larry and he shouldn’t bring him around anymore because if he does, he’s going to put Larry to sleep. Punk goes to chase after MJF, but Wardlow gets in between them.

Hayter or Love Her

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Rebel and Jamie Hayter, as Baker says she is upset that Riho cheated and now gets a title before questioning where Jamie Hayter was during the Friendsgiving. Baker and Hayter start bickering back and forth about their losses, before Baker says to stop and they are back on track and next week Hayter will face Riho, and whatever is left of Riho will have a shot at Baker’s championship.

Adam Cole, Maybe?

Adam Cole makes his full entrance before circling back to the commentary table to take the third spot. Orange Cassidy comes out as they say he isn’t scheduled for the next segment. Cole takes offense to it and goes face to face with Cassidy. Cassidy takes off his shades and puts his hand in Cole’s face before putting his hands in his pocket. The Young Bucks sneak up from behind Cassidy, but Cassidy hears them and goes to deliver his kicks before Cole lands a low blow on him. Young Bucks start doing their super kicks in the slow Orange style before landing a legit double super kick. They go to set up for a BTE Trigger, but Chuck Taylor and Wheeler Yuta.

Tony Nese cuts a promo about this Friday’s TNT Championship match against Sammy Guevara and says kneeling on his knees was nothing and wait until he sees what he’ll do on Rampage this Friday.

Wardlow (w/ Shawn Spears) vs. AC Adams

Adams gets right in Wardlow’s face, but Wardlow goes right at him knocking him down with a clothesline. Wardlow hits a powerbomb as the crowd chants for another one. Wardlow hits the second power bomb, followed by a third and a fourth before finally going for the pin.

Winner: Wardlow by pinfall at 1:30

Shawn Spears jumps in the ring and starts delivering chair shots to Wardlow.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Penta El Zero M and Pac and says Pac will be replacing Fenix for this Friday’s Rampage against FTR in the 2 out of 3 falls, but Pac himself is sporting an eye patch.

Sting & Darby Allin vs. Gunn Club (Billy Gunn & Colten Gunn) (w/ Austin Gunn)

Schiavone mentions this is the first time Sting has wrestled in Georgia in 14 years as he and Darby are sporting face paint that is a hybrid of both of theirs. Darby and Colten start the match, as Taz is the third man on commentary for this with Powerhouse Hobbs and Hook behind him. Billy tags in and calls for Sting, who tags in, and they have a face off before Sting goes for a splash in the corner, with Billy escaping to the outside. Billy sends Colten in, as Darby comes in only for Billy to come back in and block a Coffin Drop. Billy continues to drag Darby around as they go to commercials.

When we come back, Colten has Darby in a Scorpion Death Lock, but Sting tags in and hits Stinger Splashes on both Colten and Billy, knocks Billy to the outside and hits a spinebuster on Colten. Sting puts on the Scorpion DeathLock, but Billy distracts the referee. Austin Gunn comes in and punches Sting, before getting taken out by Darby on the outside. Billy hits the Fameasser on Sting, but Colten only gets a two count. Darby dives and takes out Billy, hits a stunner on Colten followed by the Scorpion Death Drop on Colten for the win.

Winners: Sting & Darby Allin by pinfall at 10:06

Alex Marvez is backstage with Chris Jericho and begins to say he came to Eddie Kingston’s aid last week. Jericho corrects him and says he wasn’t there to help Kingston, he was there to take out 2point0 and Daniel Garcia, which prompts them three to attack Jericho, tossing him against the equipment and grate before taking him out with a chair shot to the head.

Team Math

They announce after that Chris Jericho will not be on commentary on Rampage as of the result. Taz starts giving some ‘Steiner Math’ and says how 25 percent of the Diamond Dozen Battle Royal will be members of Team Taz. Lio Rush makes his way to the stage and squares off with Team Taz and tells Taz it is his job to know Rush and should know he’s had the deck stacked against him his entire career. Rush says Taz is basically saying Rush has no chance in the battle royale, but deep down everybody knows Rush is a fighter so he won’t be going down without a fight even if it means he has one percent chance. Taz tells Rush to just retire as Dante Martin and Ricky Starks join Team Taz on stage.

Jade Cargill and Mark Sterling are backstage where Sterling says Thunder Rosa has no chance against Jade and Rosa’s student Janai Kai has accepted Jade’s challenge for Rampage. Rosa comes in and says she will be the guest commentator for that match on Friday.

AEW TBS Title Tournament Quarter Final Match: Kris Statlander vs. Ruby Soho

Taz stays on commentary and sings along to Ruby’s theme. The match starts on the mat with each trying to hold the other down with headlocks and backslide attempts. They trade off a couple pin attempts until Statlander bounces off the ropes into a handstand. Ruby blocks a bloop from Statlander and hits a flatliner for a two count as they go to commercial.

When we come back, Ruby is going on the attack hitting a kick to the face for a two count. Statlander blocks Ruby and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two, right into a Spider Crab like submission that she turns into a buckle bomb then a Falcon Arrow for a two count. They fight in the corner that turns into a Poison Rana by Soho followed by another rana for a two count, that leaves Ruby stunned. Statlander blocks the No Future kick and goes for the Big Bang Theory, which Ruby reverses into a roll-up for the pin.

Winner: Ruby Soho by pinfall at 10:26, to advance

As Statlander was going up the ramp, she got distracted by Vickie Guerrero as Nyla Rose slid into the ring and took out Ruby Soho. Statlander runs back in and drives Rose out. The semi-finals are set as Thunder Rosa takes on Jade Cargill and Nyla Rose takes on Ruby Soho in the TBS Championship Tournament.

Atlanta Street Fight: Cody Rhodes (w/ Arn Anderson) vs. Andrade El Idolo (w/ Jose the Assistant)

Andrade attacks Cody before the bell rings, which causes Arn to take a spill on the stage, but Jose helps him up as they fight to the back. Cody and Andrade start fighting through the crowd including Cody hitting a moonsault off the barricade before they head ringside where Andrade drops Cody face first onto the steel steps. Cody goes and greats T-Pain ringside who hands him a steel chair that he used to take out Andrade before they finally head into the ring. Commentary points out that this hometown crowd is giving Cody a not so warm welcome. Cody takes off his belt, but Andrade low blows him and starts whipping him with his belt before tossing the belt into the crowd. Andrade goes into a bag that Jose had brought ringside and takes out a laptop that he cracks over the head of Cody. Andrade teases bringing a table in the ring before grabbing a chain and missing Cody with it. Andrade places a chair on Cody before hitting a split legged moonsault, but Cody spills Andrade to the outside when he gets up as they go to commercial.

When we come back, Andrade goes for a moonsault, but Cody stops it by throwing a chair in his direction. Cody wraps the chain around his hand and knocks Andrade out with it followed by a power slam. Cody puts his fist up as the crowd boos, goes for a suicide dive but Andrade blocks that with a chair. Andrade goes for his DDT on the outside, but Cody reverses it as it’s shown Cody is busted up on his forehead. Cody goes under the ring and grabs a kendo stick and sledgehammer before finding a golden shovel. Jose runs back in with a taser but gets stopped by Cody. Andrade takes out Cody with knees to the face with a chair in between and gets a two count as the referee makes sure Cody can continue. Andrade finally throws a table into the ring and sets it up against the corner and drives Cody through it with a hip toss. Andrade goes and grabs another table, putting Cody on top of it and heads to the top. Cody stops him and goes to the top himself. A hooded figure comes in revealing herself to be Brandi Rhodes who sets the table on fire, Cody hits a reverse DDT through the table (explaining the residue on Cody’s back throughout the match) for the pin and the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes by pinfall at 19:15
