At the age of 86, John Lanza (Blackjack Lanza) has passed away.
Jim Ross took to social media to share that John Lanza a.k.a. Blackjack Lanza passed away at the age of 86. The news was relayed to Ross by former promoter Bob Holliday.
Just heard from old, Winnipeg friend Bob Holliday that Jack Lanza has passed away at the age of 86.
Jack was our lead agent during the Attitude Era.

Lanza hailed from the state of Minnesota and began his career in wrestling in the early 60s. Throughout his time as an active in-ring performer, Lanza competed all over Minnesota, North Carolina and Indiana working for the AWA, Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and he had stints with the WWWF as well.
In the early 2000s, Lanza worked as a road agent and producer for WWE.
In 2006, Lanza and his late partner Robert Windham (Blackjack Mulligan) were inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. In 2016, both men were inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame. Windham passed way that same year.
