REPORT: WWE postpones live event in Laval, new date scheduled

WWE has postponed its live event that was scheduled for Laval, Quebec next week.

WWE has postponed its live event that was scheduled for Laval, Quebec next week.

The news of the postponement was confirmed by Pat Laprade and Kevin Raphael of TVA Sports and les Anti-pods de la Lutte.

It was reported by the two that the event scheduled for December 30th has been postponed at Bell Place with a new date scheduled for Sunday, March 6th at the same venue, and tickets will be honored on the new date.

The postponement comes amidst growing COVID-19 cases and restrictions being ramped up in the province due to the rise of the Omicron variant.

On Wednesday, the province of Quebec reported over 6,300 cases of COVID-19 with several shutdowns introduced to combat the rise.

WWE was slated to hold two events in Canada next week including its return to Toronto next Wednesday at the Coca-Cola Coliseum. The company has yet to confirm whether the show in Toronto is happening or not as capacity limits have been introduced in Ontario.

POST Wrestling has reached out to the company for an update regarding the Toronto event.
