The penultimate episode of Dynamite this year saw the program finish second for the night on cable.
The December 22nd edition from the Greensboro Coliseum averaged 1,020,000 viewers with approximately 480,000 (0.37) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
It was AEW’s highest audience in the key demo since November 17th, which had the identical figure and the first time the program has topped one million viewers since October 6th.
Overall viewership grew 7.5 percent while the 18-49 demo increased by 21 percent compared with last week.
Its male audience was up dramatically as males 18-49 were at their highest mark since October and was up 26 percent from last week. According to Brandon Thurston, males 18-49 grew from 282,000 last week to 355,000, and males 35-49 jumped from 199,000 to 258,000 as its key sources for growth.
AEW was second on cable behind the college football game between Missouri and Army that averaged 2,569,00 and 0.57 in 18-49. Dynamite finished ahead of SportsCenter, The Five and Tucker Carlson on Fox News, Real Housewives of Orange County, and MTV’s The Challenge.
In Canada, the show averaged 139,000 viewers on TSN 2, which was also up from ‘Winter is Coming’ last week that did 132,200. We are still waiting on the demo figure in Canada.
