Next week at NXT New Year’s Evil, AJ Styles is returning to the NXT brand to confront Grayson Waller once again. Styles appeared on the 12/21 edition of NXT 2.0 and addressed Waller which was followed up by Waller making his Monday Night Raw debut on 12/27 and confronting AJ.

Waller was in action on tonight’s NXT 2.0. He was originally scheduled to take on Dexter Lumis, but Odyssey Jones was his opponent. Grayson scored a win over Jones.

Brian Kendrick was scheduled to go one-on-one with Harland. As Harland and Joe Gacy were waiting in the ring for Kendrick, his music played but he did not come out. Andre Chase made his way to the ring to take on Harland but was defeated via referee stoppage. One of Chase’s ‘supporters’ prevented Harland from attacking Chase post-match. Harland took said individual to the roof of the Performance Center and acted as if he going to throw this individual off the roof.

Tiffany Stratton made her NXT TV debut and scored a win. She defeated Fallon Henley for the victory.

The winning streak of Solo Sikoa continued on 12/28. He faced Santos Escobar in singles competition and when Escobar went to the outside to brawl with Xyon Quinn, Solo gained the advantage when Escobar returned to the ring. He defeated Escobar with a top-rope splash. In the backstage area, Solo was ambushed by Boa.

There was a vignette that aired to promote the teams in line for a shot at Imperium’s NXT Tag Team Championships. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake), Jacket Time (KUSHIDA & Ikemen Jiro), Diamond Mine (Julius & Brutus Creed) along with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen were featured in the vignette.
