A rematch for the TNT Championship has been added to Saturday’s AEW Battle of the Belts card.
The first of four quarterly specials on TNT begins Saturday and will see Cody Rhodes defend the TNT Championship against Sammy Guevara on the show.
Rhodes won the championship for the third time on the Christmas edition of AEW Rampage that was taped at the Greensboro Coliseum. It ended Guevara’s reign, which began in September after defeating Miro in Rochester, New York.
It is the second match announced for Battle of the Belts that also featured Dr. Britt Baker defending the AEW women’s championship against Riho.
The show takes place from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and on AEW Plus for international viewers. POST Wrestling has inquired with TSN about the special and are awaiting a response.
