The NXT Cruiserweight and North American Titles have been unified.
Kicking off NXT’s first event of the new year was a championship unification match. The North American Champion Carmelo Hayes went one-on-one with Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong and both talents’ titles were on the line.
The conclusion of the match saw Hayes execute his top rope leg drop onto Strong to secure the victory and obtain the Cruiserweight Title. The unified championship will be recognized as the North American Title so Carmelo Hayes’ two-month reign as champion is continuing.
