It was previously made official that Steve Maclin is going to be challenging Trey Miguel for the X Division Championship at IMPACT Wrestling’s Hard To Kill event. During the 1/6 IMPACT on AXS, Gail Kim informed Maclin that if he does not beat Trey on Saturday, he will not be able to challenge for the title while Trey is champion.

For the first time since signing her IMPACT contract, Masha Slamovich was in action for the company. She scored a win in her formal debut. She competed at the Knockouts Knockdown show that was taped in September 2021. Gail Kim offered Masha a contract after her match against Deonna Purrazzo.

Karl Anderson defeated Heath on the 1/6 IMPACT on AXS. With that win, Anderson secured the advantage for his team in the ‘Hardcore War’ match at Hard To Kill. Anderson is teaming with Doc Gallows, Eric Young, Deaner and Joe Doering to take on Eddie Edwards, Heath, Rich Swann, Rhino and Willie Mack.
