Cody Rhodes will be unable to wrestle at AEW’s Battle of the Belts with an interim TNT championship to be installed.

Cody Rhodes will be unable to wrestle at AEW’s Battle of the Belts with an interim TNT championship to be installed.

It was confirmed on AEW Rampage that Cody Rhodes will be unable to wrestle due to “medical protocols” and in his place, Dustin Rhodes will face Sammy Guevara on the show with the winner becoming the interim TNT champion.

They have also announced that Ricky Starks will defend the FTW title on the show against Matt Sydal.

The show takes place from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, and airs Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET on TNT in the U.S. and TSN 2 and TSN.ca in Canada.
