Next weekend, Game Changer Wrestling is presenting ‘The WRLD on GCW’ from Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. AEW’s Eddie Kingston was announced for the event several months ago and recently, GCW uploaded a video to their digital channels of AJ Gray issuing a challenge to Kingston for the event.

Kingston was a guest on the Battleground Podcast and he reacted to AJ’s challenge. He said he has to check in with AEW and also make sure that he’s medically cleared. If Kingston is given the greenlight, he said he’ll be present to address AJ face-to-face.

Yeah, that’s fine [that AJ Gray is calling me out]. It doesn’t bother me at all, I know AJ. I know what AJ’s trying to do, you know what I mean? He’s trying to come up in the game and he’s gonna call me out, that’s fine, and I know AJ, I like AJ. But that doesn’t mean I’m not gonna, you know, beat him up. So if he wants to go, we’ll go, you know what I mean? I just gotta check, you know what I mean, with how everything’s going down with AEW and AEW’s open to be working with anybody. Just gotta make sure and if AJ wants to go, that’s fine but, I think AJ forgot where I come from and I think AJ also forgets nothing’s changed but the zeros on the check my man. I think he’s forgetting where he first met me from, you know what I mean? He met me smacking people in the face. He forgets that, he forgets that and that Second Gear Crew, he forgets I started it with Mance Warner and [Matthew] Justice. I started it. We were the original three, so guess what AJ? You’re welcome. So if I have my way, I will be — if I have my way, if everything’s good, you know I gotta get medically cleared and all that good stuff. If everything’s good, I’ll be there at Hammerstein. I’ll be there and then I’ll smack the sh*t out of AJ. I’m the wrong one to call out because I’m still the same guy. I’m the wrong one to call out. Money don’t change me man.

Earlier in the conversation, Kingston spoke highly of The Hex (Allysin Kay & Marti Belle) who are good friends of his. He joked that if he was booking AEW, they would be signed and so would Homicide and added that by the time he’d be done with AEW, it’d look like Rikers Island.

They’re my friends [Allysin Kay & Marti Belle], I love them to death and I would love to see them in an AEW ring but again, you know what I tell people when things are going down and they wonder why certain things ain’t happening or certain people ain’t there? You know what I tell them? ‘Not my show bro.’ I don’t book it, it’s not my show.

And you gotta do what’s right for the company and the guy in charge, if he feels like it, sure. If I had my way, they would be there, Homicide would be there. I joke with a lot of people, if I was booking AEW, it’d look like Rikers Island by the time I’m done with it.

The night prior to GCW’s Hammerstein show, the inaugural Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony is taking place and it was recently announced that CM Punk is doing the honors of inducting Dave Prazak.
