Five positive COVID tests announced by All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Over the weekend, All Japan Pro Wrestling postponed their January 9th event due to talents and a staff member showing fever symptoms. The company provided an update on their official website and shared that Masanobu Fuchi, Yuma Aoyagi, Shotaro Ashino, Rising HAYATO and one staff member have tested positive for COVID.

The symptoms of the four listed wrestlers are mild. The originally scheduled January 9th event in Okazaki is no longer postponed, but is now cancelled. All Japan issued the following statement on the matter:

We will continue to take thorough measures to prevent infection and carry out various activities. We will make further announcements regarding the future course of events, and apologize to our customers and other people involved in our company for any concern this may cause.

Shotaro Ashino is scheduled to be a part of the one-night tournament on January 23rd to crown a new Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. As of this writing, his opponent for the match is Ryuki Honda. On the opposite side of the bracket is Suwama versus Kento Miyahara.

The title was vacated after Jake Lee suffered a fractured nasal bone and a fracture of the medial wall of the left orbit.
