Trent Seven discusses his future post in-ring career.

To close out 2021, Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) ended Pretty Deadly (Lewis Howley & Sam Stoker’s) reign as NXT UK Tag Team Champions. This is the first time that Bate and Seven have held the NXT UK Tag Titles. They previously won the NXT Tag Titles in June of 2018.

Seven has been wrestling for 12 years and is 40 years of age. He was interviewed by ‘Metro’ and said he’s aware that he cannot wrestle forever. He said he’s a bit older than most of the NXT UK roster but feels great and thinks he can go another six or seven years.

Obviously I’m a little bit older than pretty much all of the roster – not that I’m in the twilight of my career, I feel fantastic to be brutally honest! I’m not saying that I can go forever, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got another six or seven years left in me. Being on BT Sport, it’s great for your CV, it’s great for your confidence, just going out there, sat there with the bright lights on, talking. It gives me another chance, expelling the emotion that I’ve got for NXT UK, WWE and professional wrestling. The more feathers in your cap, the better you are. The old saying of having all your eggs in one basket, it’s very unwise to do so in this industry. We do genuinely put our lives on the line and anything can happen.

He added that he wouldn’t mind taking on an on-screen managerial role. He noted that being the NXT UK’s version of Paul Heyman could be a possibility.

Say in eight or nine years where I’m like, ‘These knees are gone, I’m gonna give it up.’ Do I see myself as the UK’s Paul Heyman? Maybe! Does there need to be a British representative that has that managerial feel, that boss-like feel? That’s something I take very seriously as a further part of my career. You’ve just gotta push yourself and get out of your comfort zone.

Today’s episode of NXT UK includes WALTER versus Nathan Frazer. The match is being billed as WALTER’s final NXT UK match for the foreseeable future. He was recently in action at NXT New Year’s Evil where Imperium (WALTER, Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) were defeated by Riddle and MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee).
