Kevin Fertig (Kevin Thorn) tears bicep at Ohio Valley Wrestling event

Kevin Fertig competed in Ohio Valley Wrestling's 'Nightmare Rumble' and during the match, he tore his bicep off the bone

The injury occurred during a Battle Royal.

Over the past month, Kevin Fertig a.k.a. Kevin Thorn has competed in several matches and his latest was on 1/15 at Ohio Valley Wrestling’s Nightmare Rumble special. Fertig was one of the final three participants in the match and during that stretch, he suffered a bicep tear.

He noted on Facebook that his bicep tore off the bone and he’ll be undergoing surgery on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Fertig’s birthday is on 1/17. He thanked the OVW talent and staff for checking on him.

Fertig returned to the ring this past December. Prior to that, he had not wrestled since December 2020. Fertig works in real estate and runs his own business out of Indiana.

The 44-year-old Fertig was a part of WWE’s ECW brand where he was known as ‘Kevin Thorn’ and was paired on-screen with Shelly Martinez, formerly known as ‘Ariel’.
