AEW TNT champion Cody Rhodes is currently working without a contract, per a report from Fightful.com.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Rhodes’ contract has expired and has continued to work without a signed deal.

Rhodes has been off television for two weeks after a COVID-19 issue involving his family that forced Rhodes to miss Battle of the Belts and a scheduled match against Sammy Guevara.

Rhodes was part of the founding members of the group along with The Young Bucks and Hangman Page, who announced the launch of AEW on New Year’s Eve 2018. Days later, a press conference was held in Jacksonville, Florida to reveal additional details about the company and the signing of Chris Jericho.

Rhodes is scheduled to return to AEW Dynamite this Wednesday in Washington, D.C. at the Sports & Entertainment Arena.

AEW and Rhodes did not comment on the story for Fightful.
