With the AEW tag team championship headlining the show, Rampage saw a decrease in viewership.
The January 14th taped edition from Raleigh averaged 526,000 viewers and approximately 256,000 (0.20) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.
The show dropped 17 percent in the 18-49 demo and declined 10 percent in viewership from last week’s episode., finishing #15 among cable originals for the evening.
Its female viewership was hurt with females 18-49 dropping from 107,000 to 83,000 (22 percent) and females 35-49 declining from 73,000 to 45,000 (38 percent), per Thurston.
Its 18-34 audience held up better than other categories, only falling by 5 percent with women in that demo actually increasing by a small margin this week.
The show featured Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus making their first defense of the tag team championship against John Silver & Alex Reynolds of the Dark Order, a singles match between Adam Cole and Trent Beretta, a six-woman tag, and a quick match between Shawn Spears and Andrew Everett.
Rampage aired against the late NBA game between the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies that topped the cable chart on Friday with 1,400,000 viewers and 0.48 in 18-49.
This Friday’s episode of Rampage is a live edition of the show from Washington, D.C., although no matches or segments have been announced yet.
