NJPW removes Kosei Fujita from January events due to injury

Kosei Fujita has sustained an injury that will remove him from the rest of New Japan’s events this month.

Kosei Fujita has sustained an injury that will remove him from the rest of New Japan’s events this month.

The 19-year old young lion suffered a shoulder injury while training, according to an update from the promotion with an expected return in February.

Fujita was slated to team with Ryohei Oiwa against Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI on Thursday’s New Years Golden Series card at Korakuen Hall. The new match will feature Oiwa meeting Takahashi in a singles contest.

Below is the line-up for Thursday’s show, which will stream for free on New Japan World at 4:30 a.m. ET:
