The UFC has a main event for its return to the U.K. this March.
It was first reported by ESPN on Friday that Tom Aspinall will meet Alexander Volkov on Saturday, March 19th at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Aspinall (11-2) is a native of Manchester, England, and began fighting for the UFC in 2020 where he has secured four stoppage wins including 2021 wins against Andrei Arlovski and Sergey Spivak.
Former Bellator heavyweight champion Volkov (34-9) fought three times in 2021 and is coming off a decision win against Marcin Tybura after dropping a five-round decision to current interim champion Ciryl Gane last June. He signed with the UFC in 2016.
The Fight Night card in March will be the UFC’s first in London since March 2019, which was affected by the pandemic and the inability for the promotion to stage events in that part of the world.
