Next month, Lio Rush’s stint with All Elite Wrestling is coming to an end as he announced on social media that he’ll be a free agent on February 14th. Rush is accepting bookings as of this writing.

He was last in action on the 12/8 Dynamite during which he competed in the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal. Earlier this month, Lio had been advertised for the 1/12 Dynamite and was scheduled to be in Dante Martin’s corner for his match against Powerhouse Hobbs. Jay Lethal ended up backing Dante.

When AEW President Tony Khan made the remark about Big Swole’s wrestling ability in response to her comments diversity and inclusion within AEW, Lio Rush commented on the situation:

If nobody says something, then I will. Because this is fucked up and now I’m pissed.

He later released a statement and clarified that he does not think there is a diversity issue in AEW. He spoke to Tony Khan and they had a conversation about the endeavors to further understand struggles in the Black community.

The 27-year-old Rush is currently signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling and on Sunday, he’ll be competing in the ‘Grab The Brass Ring’ Ladder match at GCW’s Hammerstein Ballroom show.
