Tama Tonga has confirmed that he has re-signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The G.O.D. member tweeted that he had been a free agent “since January 30, 2022” while adding #misinformation.

On his Tama’s Island podcast, he stated that he was a free agent on that date but is now officially signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Of late, Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa have been wrestling for IMPACT and will be appearing on next week’s No Surrender card from New Orleans, Louisiana to face The Good Brothers.

The 39-year old has been working with NJPW since 2010. With Tanga Loa, the Guerrillas of Destiny have won the IWGP tag titles seven times and won the World Tag League in 2020.

Last year, Tama Tonga was the only member of the B Block to defeat Kazuchika Okada during the G1 Climax tournament.
