WWE is loading up its return to Madison Square Garden after a disappointing attendance for the December holiday show.

The company returns to the famous venue on Saturday, March 5th and they have stacked the card with matches involving Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, a rare house show title defense by WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns.

This comes in response to the December 26, 2021, live event that drew approximately 5,300 paid and 6,828 total, per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It was noted in the issue that it was the third-lowest paid attendance at MSG going back to 1937.

The show is set to feature a WWE championship match between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar, which would be their second singles match and fourth if you include the five-way at Day 1 and the upcoming Elimination Chamber match.

It is possible that Lesnar could be champion by this time, or Lashley could lose the belt to one of the other participants in the Elimination Chamber on February 19th.

Reigns will defend the Universal championship against Seth Rollins in a rematch from the Royal Rumble and will mark the first time Reigns has defended the title on a house show since this current reign began in August 2020.

Rousey is advertised for a tag match with Sasha Banks against SmackDown women’s champion Charlotte Flair & Natalya.

WWE is also advertising a Raw women’s championship match involving Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley for the event.
