This weekend’s New Japan Pro Wrestling cards in Sapporo will see a four-way match for the IWGP junior heavyweight tag titles.
The company will run back-to-back nights at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center culminating with Sunday’s main event where Kazuchika Okada defends the IWGP heavyweight title against Tetsuya Naito.
After challenges were issued, the IWGP junior heavyweight tag titles will be defended on Saturday’s show with a shuffling of the card.
Champions Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask were originally scheduled for a tag match against El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori but now, Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato and El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru have been added to the match.
NJPW has also revealed the poll results for Sunday’s KOPW 2022 match between Minoru Suzuki and Toru Yano.
The results saw 59.2 percent of the 22,099 votes in favor of Toru Yano’s pick for a Dog Collar Cage match.
The match cannot end in disqualification and only concludes when one man is placed into a dog cage and the door is locked.
Suzuki became the KOPW 2022 holder last month at Wrestle Kingdom winning a four-way match against Yano, CIMA, and Chase Owens at the Tokyo Dome.
