NXT 2.0 had a better showing on its second week on Syfy with its Vengeance Day special but was still hurt by the network switch.

The February 15th special averaged 525,000 viewers and approximately 145,000 (0.11) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

The numbers blew away last week’s figures on Syfy with 400,000 viewers and 97,000 in the key demo.

The previous five episodes of NXT 2.0 this year on the USA Network averaged 626,000 viewers and 178,000 in 18-49, so this week’s special was still down from an average episode on USA.

NXT finished #48 among cable originals and went against the Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers on TNT that ranked #1 on cable with 1,186,000 viewers and 0.40 in 18-49, Real Housewives of New Jersey on Bravo (1,043,000 and 0.36), back-to-back college basketball games on ESPN, and the Winter Olympics (8,704,000 and 1.54 on NBC and 1,035,000 and 0.21 on USA).

All of NXT’s key demos were significantly improved including adults 18-34 going from approximately 23,000 to 54,000 this week while females 18-49 were up by 61.5 percent and men in the same category grew 45 percent this week.

In Canada, the show averaged 81,000 viewers on Sportsnet 360 and did not finish among the top ten sports programs in the country on Tuesday. It was up from 61,000 viewers last week and their best number in Canada in three weeks.
