Bellator is returning to San Jose with two title fights including a rematch for the featherweight championship.

The promotion has announced that undefeated A.J. McKee will make the first defense of his championship against former champion Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire at Bellator 277 on Friday, April 15th.

The two fought last July at Bellator 263 in one of the biggest fights in Bellator’s history that saw McKee submit Pitbull in the first round to become the new champion.

The card will take place from the SAP Center in San Jose and will also see Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov defend his title against Corey Anderson in the finals of the Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix.

Nemkov won the 205-pound title by defeating Ryan Bader in August 2020 and defended it against Phil Davis and Julius Anglickas in the first two rounds of the Grand Prix last year.

Anderson’s road to the finals of the Grand Prix featured TKO wins against Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov and Ryan Bader.

Tickets for Bellator 277 go on sale this Friday and the event will air on Showtime.
