Prior to their respective matches on the 19th, Itoh and Yamashita test positive for COVID.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling pushed out the announcement on their social channels that Maki Itoh and Miyu Yamashita contracted COVID. Both talents took PCR tests that came back positive and they are now off Tokyo Joshi Pro’s 2/19 and 2/23 shows.

Yamashita is the reigning Princess of Princess Champion and was scheduled to take on Shoko Nakajima on the 19th. On that same card, Maki Itoh, International Princess Champion, was set to face Yuki Arai. Itoh and Yamashita are expected to return on February 26th after their quarantine periods.

Rika Tatsumi, Nodoka Tenma and Raku are off the 2/19 show as a precaution because they may have been in close contact with either Itoh and Yamashita. Tatsumi, Nodoka and Raku are said to have no symptoms.

Earlier this month, Itoh missed a Tokyo Joshi Pro event due to COVID protocols.
