Ahead of WrestleMania, Lesnar will be defending his title.
For the seventh time in his career, Brock Lesnar became WWE Champion at the Elimination Chamber event. Lesnar is now scheduled to clash with Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in a title versus title match.
Before going into WrestleMania, Lesnar is going to defend the title on March 5th at WWE’s Madison Square Garden live event. Paul Heyman appeared on the 2/21 episode of Raw and informed Lesnar of the upcoming title defense. Heyman added that if Bobby Lashley can pass ‘concussion protocol’, he’ll be taking on Lesnar for the title and if he does not pass, a new opponent will be slotted in for the show.

Lashley went into Elimination Chamber as champion but was removed from the match after Seth Rollins powerbombed Riddle into Lashley’s Chamber pod. It was later reported by former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide that Lashley has been injured since the Royal Rumble where he defeated Lesnar for the WWE Title.
Famuyide added that Lashley is facing shoulder surgery and is expected to be out for at least four months. PWInsider noted today that Lashley is getting his shoulder checked out in Birmingham, Alabama.
At the conclusion of the segment between Lesnar and Heyman on Raw, Lesnar stated that he’ll be on this Friday’s SmackDown to confront Roman Reigns.
