Wrestlers and staff members have tested positive for the virus.
wXw in Germany hosted their 16 Carat Gold tournament over the weekend and the reigning ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham emerged victorious to win it all. Coming out of the event, wXw took to their social media platforms to announce that four individuals consisting of wrestlers and staff members tested positive for COVID.
Those individuals tested negative before 16 Carat or during the event[s]. The promotion recommends that those who were present go get tested.
Over the course of the morning, 4 wrestlers/staff have had positive rapid tests. Those involved had tested negative directly before or during #wXw16Carat.
We recommend visitors to make a test for safety, so this has not already happened.
Biff Busick, the former ‘Oney Lorcan’ was supposed to be a part of the tournament but he tested positive for COVID before heading off to Germany.
Gresham beat Bobby Gunns, Peter Tihanyi, Shigehiro Irie and Robert Dreissker on his road to winning the 2022 16 Carat tourney.
