Tenille Dashwood notes that the title win was the first major title victory of her career.

On March 5th at IMPACT Wrestling’s ‘Sacrifice’ event, Tenille Dashwood won her first title for a televised company when she and Madison Rayne defeated The IInspiration (Jessica McKay & Cassie Lee) for the Knockouts Tag Team Titles.

Dashwood has been wrestling since she was a teenager and she reflected on the title win while doing a virtual signing for Captain’s Corner.

Well basically, we [Tenille & Madison Rayne] kicked The IInspiration’s ass… and yeah, good times because you know what? We had been waiting for that match for a long time and very deserving of the championships might I say. Also, this was my first championship in any major promotion in my whole wrestling career. So, I’ve been wrestling for 20 years and ten years professionally and this was my first championship, which is great, right? Cheers to that.

During Dashwood’s run with WWE, she shared the ring with current Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch on a number of occasions. They wrestled on both Raw and in NXT.

Tenille stated that she and Lynch were supposed to feud with one another, but added that it barely got started as far as their on-screen time together.

Who did I not — probably wrestled pretty much everyone who was there [WWE] when I was. But, we were supposed to have a feud, Becky Lynch and I, that we never really got to finish or it barely even got started honestly and that was unfortunate to think. It would’ve been pretty damn good, yeah. I would’ve kicked her ass too obviously but… it didn’t happen unfortunately so…

On the latest episode of IMPACT on AXS, Tenille was a part of an eight-woman tag match and to read a recap of that show, click here.
