Tony D’Angelo taking on Tommaso Ciampa at NXT Stand & Deliver

Tony D'Angelo threw out the challenge to Tommaso Ciampa and attacked him after Ciampa accepted

Second match added to NXT Stand & Deliver.

During the 3/15 NXT 2.0, Tommaso Ciampa grabbed a microphone and spoke to the audience about his time in NXT. Ciampa stated that he does not know where he’s going next but always wondered what his last battle in NXT would be like.

Approaching the former NXT Champion from behind was Tony D’Angelo who issued the challenge to Ciampa for Stand & Deliver. Ciampa shook his hand and agreed to the bout, but that was followed by D’Angelo kneeing Ciampa in the midsection.

Ciampa was on the losing end of the Triple-Threat NXT Championship match at Roadblock. Dolph Ziggler pinned him to become champion. Over the past several weeks, Ciampa has competed on Monday Night Raw and on 3/12, he teamed with Bron Breakker at a WWE house show.

As of this writing, the Stand & Deliver match card is listed as followed:

  • NXT North American Championship — Ladder Match: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Santos Escobar vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD
  • Tommaso Ciampa vs. Tony D’Angelo
