While making the media rounds to promote NBC's Young Rock, Brian Gewirtz shared that he's helped out friends in AEW with their promos

Brian Gewirtz recalls helping friends of his in AEW.

Season two of NBC’s ‘Young Rock’ has started to air on the network and members of the cast and crew are making the media rounds to promote the series. Brian Gewirtz is an Executive Producer for ‘Young Rock’ and Gewirtz is also known for his time as a head writer for WWE.

He appeared on The Ringer’s ‘Masked Man Show’ and while discussing how he thinks competition in wrestling is a positive, Gewirtz shared that he’s helped friends of his in AEW with lines for their respective promos. He said it has only happened less than three times.

I’ll tell you a tiny, tiny secret, which is over the years, I have contributed a line or two to AEW… I don’t even remember what it is but I’ve had a couple friends call me and be like, ‘Hey, what can I say here?’ It only happened like literally less than three times in the course of the entire existence of AEW but it does exist for like a promo or two, max. So, I always find that funny for myself.

Gewirtz is featured in the first and second seasons of WWE’s ‘Ruthless Aggression’ series. Gewirtz is also releasing his own book about his time in WWE titled ‘There’s Just One Problem…: True Tales from the Former, One-Time, 7th Most Powerful Person in WWE’.
