The first-ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez will be challenging for the titles on the Stand & Deliver Kickoff show. The duo reunited on the 3/29 episode of NXT 2.0.

Toxic Attraction (Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) were in the ring and confirmed that they ambushed Kai’s partner from the women’s Dusty Classic, Wendy Choo. This led to Kai coming out to the ring but the numbers game caught up to her. Raquel Gonzalez then made her way to the ring and helped Kai fight off Toxic Attraction.

Gonzalez and Kai faced off then embraced each other shortly after. They held up the NXT Women’s Tag Titles and it was made official that they’ll be getting their title match this Saturday.

Kai turned on Gonzalez in 2021 and their program concluded with a match at TakeOver 36 which Raquel won. Gigi and Jacy took out Raquel while she and Cora Jade were competing against Kai and Choo in the Dusty Cup.
