Rick Boogs suffered an injury in the SmackDown tag team championship at WrestleMania 38 on Saturday.
During a spot where Boogs lifted both Jimmy & Jey Uso onto his shoulders, his knee appeared to buckle, and he rolled to the floor and didn’t return. Shinsuke Nakamura finished the match, which saw The Usos retain the titles.
Boogs was helped to the backstage area after the match.

Later in the broadcast, it was stated by Michael Cole and Pat McAfee that Boogs suffered a torn quadriceps muscle and will require surgery for his patella, which was consistent with Dave Meltzer’s reporting of the injuries earlier in the evening.
There is no timetable yet on how long he will be out of action.
