Levesque came out at the start of the show to a sustained reaction and placed his wrestling boots in the middle of the ring. Levesque recently confirmed to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith that he will never wrestle again following his serious heart issues last year that led to a defibrillator being placed in his chest.
Levesque welcomed everyone to WrestleMania and thanked the fans before making his exit. He embraced his three daughters, who were seated in the front row at the show at AT&T Stadium.
Levesque also appeared at NXT’s Stand & Deliver event on Saturday after Tommaso Ciampa’s loss to Tony D’Angelo to signify the end of Ciampa’s time with NXT.
