As expected, the NXT Tag Team Championships have been vacated following the release of Nash Carter (Zachary Green) earlier this week.
A short statement was issued noting that new champions will be crowned on next Tuesday’s episode:
The current NXT Tag Team Champions have relinquished the titles.
New champions will be crowned this Tuesday night at 8/7 C on USA Network.
After winning the titles last Saturday at Stand & Deliver, MSK (Nash Carter & Wes Lee) appeared on Tuesday’s program and set up a match against Grayson Waller & Sanga for the following week, which is not happening.
Carter was released on Wednesday and came after several allegations by his wife Kimber Lee (Kimberly Lee Frankele). She made an allegation of physical abuse this past Monday by posting a photo where her face and jaw had been injured and claimed it was a result of Green hitting her after he got “wasted” last year. Later, she posted a photo of Green taking a photo where he had a mustache like Adolf Hitler’s and was doing a Nazi salute.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the photo was the reason for the release.
