REPORT: Wendy Choo signed contract extension with WWE in 2021

Per report, Wendy Choo inked a new deal with WWE in 2021. The offer was presented to her before she appeared on TV as 'Mei Ying'

Per report, Wendy Choo signed a contract extension last year.

The ‘Wendy Choo’ character was introduced on NXT 2.0 in 2022. The former ‘Karen Q’ plays the character and per Fightful Select, Choo inked a new deal with WWE in 2021.

The publication added that Choo was presented with the offer before she appeared on NXT TV as ‘Mei Ying’. The deal was not completed until ‘much later’.

Mei Ying was the leader of ‘Tian Sha’ which consisted of Boa and current SmackDown talent Xia Li. Choo wrestled twice as Mei Ying before her character switch.

She was last in action on the 3/22 episode of NXT 2.0 when she and Dakota Kai lost in the finals of the women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
