The NXT 2.0 brand’s next special is titled Spring Breakin’ and it is scheduled for May 3rd on the USA Network. In the final segment of tonight’s NXT 2.0, it was confirmed that Bron Breakker will defend the NXT Title against Joe Gacy at the event. Gacy played mind games with Breakker throughout the night and lured him up on a platform that Gacy would push Breakker off of.
In addition to Gacy versus Breakker, the North American Championship will be on the line when Cameron Grimes defends his title in a Triple-Threat involving Carmelo Hayes and Solo Sikoa. Carmelo defeated Santos Escobar in singles competition to secure his title opportunity. Solo’s opportunity at the title was interfered with last week by Trick Williams.

During the aforementioned match between Carmelo and Santos Escobar, two men in suits were on the outside of the ring with Escobar. One of the men hit Escobar in the back of the leg with a pipe which led to Hayes scoring the win. Later in the show, Tony D’Angelo was asked if he had anything to do with the attack and he denied.

For the first time since Zachary Green (Nash Carter) was released from WWE, Wes Lee appeared on TV and he is now a singles competitor. He said the last few weeks since Stand & Deliver have been chaotic. He was confronted by Xyon Quinn and they had a singles match which Quinn was victorious in.

Last week, Von Wagner took out both KUSHIDA and Ikemen Jiro. On 4/18, it was reported by Fightful that KUSHIDA departed WWE as his contract with the company expired. During tonight’s program, it was stated that Jiro is going to be out of action for a month and Wagner has been ‘suspended’ for his actions.
Former ROH Women’s World Champion Roxanne Perez (Rok-C) made her NXT TV debut against NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Jacy Jayne. Perez was able to score the win after Wendy Choo popped up on the tron and caught the attention of Jacy.

Natalya was in action and she tapped out Tatum Paxley with a Sharpshooter. When Natalya was interviewed backstage, she was confronted by Nikkita Lyons, who told Natalya that after her singles match against Lash Legend on 4/26, she’ll be looking for Natalya.

The headlining match of the 4/19 program was Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elliot Prince) successfully defending their NXT Tag Titles against Duke Hudson and Dexter Lumis.
