NXT 2.0 fell to its lowest viewership in seven weeks despite an increase in its key demographic going against the NBA playoffs.
The April 19th edition of the show averaged 569,000 viewers and approximately 161,000 (0.12) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics and Showbuzz Daily.

Overall viewership dropped seven percent and was the show’s lowest mark since March 1st while the 18-49 demo increased by seven percent from last week but would still register as the third-lowest demo figure of 2022 excluding the episodes that aired on Syfy in February.
The show did sizable numbers of females among both 18-49 and 18-34. In the two categories, it was the highest mark for those female demos since January 25th with sizable increases from the prior week. Women 35-49 were also up by 50 percent from last week.
With a big night of NBA playoff action, NXT 2.0 finished #44 among cable originals while airing against two playoff games.
The show advertised Natalya taking on Tatum Paxley along with Santos Escobar vs. Carmelo Hayes and Tiffany Stratton vs. Sarray throughout the week. NXT is building towards its next special, “Spring Breakin’” on Tuesday, May 3rd featuring Bron Breakker defending the NXT Championship against Joe Gacy.
NXT aired head-to-head against the Atlanta Hawks vs. New Orleans Pelicans which finished second on cable with 2,704,000 viewers and 0.97 in 18-49, as well as Minnesota vs. Memphis on NBA TV, which finished seventh. NBA-related programming occupied five of the top ten cable programs on Tuesday.
In Canada, the show averaged approximately 65,000 viewers on Sportsnet 360.
Immediately after NXT, the USA Network aired the Sasha Banks episode of “Evil”, which averaged 279,000 viewers and 0.05 in 18-49, finishing #101 among cable originals.
Tuesday’s episode of Young Rock on NBC averaged 1,921,000 viewers and 0.32 in 18-49. It finished ninth among network programs for the night, which was led by This is Us on NBC scoring 0.86 in the demo and 5.1 million viewers.
