WWE Raw notes: Omos challenges Lashley for WrestleMania Backlash, Randy Orton celebration

Omos issued the challenge to Lashley, Randy Orton celebrates 20 years in WWE, Bianca Belair retains her title, Glenn 'Kane' Jacobs appears

Bobby Lashley bested Omos in an arm wrestling challenge on the 4/25 episode of Monday Night Raw. After losing, Omos ambushed Lashley and later issued a challenge for WrestleMania Backlash on May 8th. Lashley defeated Omos at WrestleMania 38.

20 years of Randy Orton in WWE was celebrated. The show kicked off with talents surrounding the ring as Orton was introduced by Riddle. It was to set up the main event which saw Orton, Riddle, Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel defeat Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso). During Orton’s opening speech, he said he would not be where he is without the help of Mick Foley to which Foley responded to.

In her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, Bianca Belair retained the Raw Women’s Title by defeating Sonya Deville. Initially, the match was ruled a count out but Deville restarted the match. Sonya was then disqualified after hitting Belair with a chair but she restarted the match again and ordered Queen Zelina and Carmella to come assist her. Belair was able to still get the win over Deville. Sonya later confronted Zelina and Carmella and slapped them both. She promised them a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Titles if they helped her in the match with Belair.

During Edge’s promo, he shamed the city of Knoxville for voting for Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs. Jacobs was featured several times on tonight’s program in shots with Bianca Belair and Randy Orton.

Corey Graves returned to commentary for tonight’s broadcast. He was out for the past several weeks celebrating he and Carmella’s marriage.

R-Truth was the special guest referee for a tag match between Dana Brooke and Reggie against Akira Tozawa and Tamina. Truth attempted to pin Brooke for the 24/7 Title after the match was over.
