Two talents are leaving Dragon Gate at the end of April.
At Dragon Gate’s 4/21 show in Kobe, Japan, it was announced that both Gamma and Super Shisa are leaving the promotion at the end of this month.
Gamma, who is 48 years of age is choosing to step away from in-ring competition and his retirement ceremony will be held via a self produced wrestling show on August 14th.
The 25-year veteran Super Shisa will continue to wrestle post-Dragon Gate. He has been working with the promotion since 2004. Dragon Gate issued the following statement on the matter on their official website:
Thank you very much for your continued support of DRAGONGATE.
As announced today by GM Ryo Saito at the Kobe Sunbow Hall on 4/21, both Super Shisa and Gamma will be leaving DRAGONGATE as of the end of April, 2022.
Super Shisa’s opportunities to compete in the DRAGONGATE ring have been reduced due to his injuries, but he intends to continue to work to improve his condition and return to full fitness.
Gamma plans to retire in August.

Super Shisa was in action on the 4/21 Dragon Gate show and Gamma has not wrestled since March 6th.
