Yuji Nagata to appear on commentary for STARDOM’s upcoming show.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Yuji Nagata trained with STARDOM’s Saya Iida, Hazuki, Mayu Iwatani, Momo Kohgo and Koguma. Those five talents are a part of the ‘STARS’ faction and they asked Nagata to be their temporary coach. On top of the in-ring training, Nagata assisted Mayu Iwatani in learning English and he advocated to further building the relationship between NJPW and STARDOM.

April 29th is the date of STARDOM’s Ota City General Gymnasium show that will feature the conclusion of the Cinderella tournament. Both Koguma and Hazuki are in the semifinals.

It was announced that coming out of their training session with Nagata, he will be on commentary at the 4/29 show. Nagata had the following to say about the idea of New Japan working more closely with STARDOM:

When we put on a big show overseas, if there is no women’s competition, it will not be recognized worldwide. In Japan, we should work hard to improve each other, and since we are both aiming for the world, we should join forces.

Scheduled for June 26th in Chicago is New Japan’s joint-show with All Elite Wrestling titled ‘Forbidden Door’. The announcement of that show was made this past Wednesday on Dynamite and to hear POST Wrestling’s reaction to that announcement, click here.
